Indica vs Sativa
Though there are thousands of different strains of herb, they fall into two different categories: indica and sativa. Many strains today are a crossbreed of both indica and sativa.
Indica: The term “indica” was first coined by French biologist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck in 1785. He came up with the term to differentiate between the more heady sativa. Indica originates from the Middle East. Aesthetically, the indica plant is shorter than the sativa plant. Indica is also more dense with broader leaves. The flowering period of the indica plant is seven to nine weeks. Indica plants are better suited for growing indoors. Indica buds are more compact and dense. Indica gives the user a more calming and relaxing high, the type of high that people think of when they think of the typical stoner. The indica high affects the body more than the mind.
