Are there two types of Steamroller Pipes?

There are indeed two types of steamroller pipes, one for smoking dry herb and one for smoking concentrate.

The traditional herb steamroller has two open ends like a normal pipe, with a small bowl and the carb is located at the end of the pipe. Concentrate steamrollers don’t have a bowl, and instead, it is replaced with a dabbing nail or banger.

How do you use a Steamroller Pipe?

When loading your steamroller pipe, it is important to know that they can pack quite a punch. The majority of the steamroller pipes are on the small side, so their chambers don’t have a lot of space to cool the smoke.

But unlike a chillum or a one-hitter, which has a small bowl, steamroller pipes have hefty bowls that any bong would envy. This combination of the small chamber and big bowl can lead to some powerful, even harsh hits.

When using your steamroller, load up the bowl, and cover the pipe's open end with your finger. Light the bowl, inhale, and when finished, you can remove your finger and inhale to clear the chamber of any remaining smoke.
